Sydney Water has announced a shortlist in its search for a strategic partner to implement its new customer-focused operating model.

Sydney Water received Expression of Interest (EOI) submissions from five organisations: Deloitte Consulting, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers Australia and Third Horizon.

At the completion of the evaluation of submissions, two participants were shortlisted to progress to the next sourcing phase which will include a series of Interactive Dialogue Process (IDP) workshops and a Request for Tender (RFT).

The shortlisted participants are:

  • Ernst & Young (in a consortium with Mott MacDonald and Scottish Water)
  • KPMG (in a consortium with IBM and GHD)

Sydney Water expects that the successful strategic partner will engage external organisations under a consortium style arrangement to deliver on the full range of services needed to support Sydney Water in building the key capabilities required.
